The late Michael Eugene Allerton

My Photos Welcome To My Homepage

Michael Eugene Allerton

In spite of our pain we rejoice that our dad  ( my mothers 40+ years husband) has left this earthly realm and has gone to be with his Messiah and Savior.

Dad loved his Lord. He was, Jewish, under Rabinnic law. His mothers maiden name was Fetterman, an Ashkenazi(German) Jewish name. His recent discovery of this propelled him to a deeper walk with his Messiah. He recently began attending Orthodox Shabbat Services at Harry Dollarhides in Castle Rock.

Dad endeavored to proclaim Christ wherever he went. At his funeral were many federal officials, including Federal judges, attended. He was remembered by many  co-workers (Deputy U.S. Marshalls) and Jordan Factor esq. Also, a brother over the Centurion ministries at a local church attended and said some kind words.

Michael Eugene Allerton had a full life. Though, I suspect, he would of liked to spend a few more years here on the terrestial realm. When we lived in California I remember an incident where I had sliced my toe open on a tricycle spoke. He came outside and laid hands on my big right toe. He said "We are healed by Jesus' stripes." The wound closed automatically. The blood that was oozing out evaporated. My pain immediately left and I thought to myself in my toddler mind "how did daddy do that?" All that was left was a hairline scar that has since disappeared. I remember him Jumping and shouting and running indoors to tell my mom. That memory is emblazened on my mind forever. And, of course, daddy didn't do that. Jesus did it through him.

I believe my dad is in heaven with His Lord. He wasn't perfect. No one is (Rm. 3). God gives us proof of his existence in his graces. Even at my Father passing there were great graces. His whole family was gathered around him. This was no coincidence. He was extremely happy and my last memory of him was of his smile.

A few months earlier this year my dad and I were left sitting at the dinner table. He began to tell me of how he had seen a vision of heaven. As he went on something struck my senses. I had put on what was to him a horrible look and said something like "oh no." He got a sad look on his face and said "What." You know that look when you think what you're saying isn't well received. (In a way it wasn't.) I replied "you scared me." He asked why, and I explained, "When people are talking about heaven a lot they're usually getting ready to go; are you?" He said "I don't know, I don't think so."

Well, I guess he was. And that is good.

Shalom dad, we'll see you soon...
